Enjoy the free public space at Cardiff Castle
Cardiff Castle is not currently open as a tourist attraction; however, visitors to the city centre are welcome to enjoy the open air space of the Castle green, free of charge.
We're very glad that the city is beginning to reopen and, if you're planning a trip in to Cardiff and would like a lovely spot to relax after hitting the shops, then please come and use the tables and chairs in the beautiful setting of the Castle’s outer green.
Please remember to be considerate of other visitors, maintain the appropriate social distancing and use the hand sanitising facilities available at every opportunity.
We would kindly ask anybody to refrain from visiting if you have had any symptoms of illness (cough, sniffles, sore throat or fever), or have had contact with anybody who has been tested for COVID-19, in the last 14 days.
